TELO   will never support Ranil. People are falsely accusing us of meeting with the president. Furthermore, it was the JVP that broke the very foundation of the Tamils and divided the North and East. Tamils will not vote for them, said Selvam Adaikalanathan.

He made these remarks while participating in a leaflet distribution event in Vavuniya in support of the Tamil General Candidate.

 he  further said:

Support for the Tamil General Candidate is increasing. I believe that our people will certainly vote for the General Candidate along our path of ideals.

Regarding the statements made by our party's Member of Parliament, Vino Nogarathalingam, about the General Candidate, those are his personal views.

Our party operates democratically. So, his views are personal. As far as our party is concerned, we have made a decision.

Also, discussions had taken place regarding going to the general structure. Specifically, we have decided to go together rather than individually, according to the points emphasized in their letter.

Anura Kumara mentioned in his election manifesto about protecting those involved in human rights violations, particularly in relation to the security forces.

These are the same people who divided the North and East. In my opinion, our people are not thinking about Anura at all.

ven though Anura has expressed his views in his election manifesto, it is the JVP who broke our foundation and threw it away.

Our fighters and movements were all dedicated to the integrated North and East. The JVP takes pride in breaking that unity.

No matter what they claim, it will be difficult for them to get votes in Tamil areas.

The primary goal is that the Tamil people and parties that love the nation must unite.

In the face of divisive tactics, our Tamil community is coming together under one umbrella in this presidential election. The goal of our conch symbol is to spread this message.

Our desire for liberation burns like a fire in our hearts. In this situation, through our conch symbol, we must tell both southern Sri Lanka and the international community that we all stand together.

Once the Tamil Eelam Liberation Movement makes a decision, there is no turning back. Many have tried to smear us by suggesting that our meeting with the president means we will support him.

The Tamil Eelam Liberation Movement believes in unity among people based on common thoughts. There will never be a situation where we extend a hand to southern Sri Lankan candidates.
