President Ranil Wickremesinghe has said that he has prepared a solution acceptable to all to find a solution to the national ethnic problem of the Tamil people.

President Wickremesinghe made these remarks during his first media engagement since officially entering the presidential race.

He further stated that

I made a clear statement about this at Mr. R. Sampanthan’s funeral. In consultation with Tamil MPs, other parties, and especially the Cabinet, we have prepared a proposal that is acceptable to all.
